If you are interested in working with me, my intake process always consists with some actual free sessions of coaching where you can get a taste of the experience. Some coaches only try to sell to you on the first session. I try to make sure that everyone takes away something positive and useful from these sessions, so even if we don't work together it's still a good use of both of our time. These initial consultation sessions are between 60-90 minutes. Unlike some coaches who just book <30 minute sales calls, you will actually get to experience my coaching process.
During this intro session we will talk about the challenges you are dealing with and co-create an achievable plan for success. I'll provide you with quality information and self-directed exercises. From these you can continue to work at your own pace, or if our personalities are a good fit, we can work together further. From this you will accelerate your personal growth through ongoing accountability, encouragement, feedback and mentorship.

I am here on this Earth to be of service - I care deeply for this planet and humanity. Although I am still working towards saving the environment, empowering individuals on a daily basis provides human connection that keeps me going compared to the struggles in science. We've got to help each other out as best we can so that we can fix this mess. It's always getting better, but we've got a ways to go.
That said, I'd like to provide you with a core teaching from my philosophy that I think could be of use:
Ambivalence is a sign of internal conflict. Things are really hard to do when you have a cognitive dissonance (an internal disagreement on the worthiness of an activity). You might hate doing something, you might not think it's worthwhile, but there is probably a hidden set of beliefs which are conflicted and thus holding you back. If you are not doing what you feel you should, don't worry. It's not always your fault. Our biology is selfish and wants what's best for our. This leads to unconscious reactions and behaviours that are useful in an evolutionary sense, but can work against our long term goals. Next time you are procrastinating stop, and be mindful of the thoughts and sensations happening to you. Take a moment to think about the feelings that are coming up and what they could be connected to. Ask yourself why these ideas and emotions are troubling. Being able to address those feelings is the key to overcoming any sort of procrastination. People who have suffered from depression have often set up such efficient patterns at avoiding change that they jump quickly past any possibility of noticing, straight into the bad habits that they actually want to avoid. I provide exercises and practices to find where your reactions are not serving you, and that awareness allows you to find ways to overcome their negative properties.
There are tried and tested behavioural techniques for addressing difficult feelings, and also gentle ways of unearthing the patterns that produce them. An outside perspective with experience helps a lot in this process, but I encourage you to see what you can achieve on your own. Knowing this now you are better prepared than 5 minutes ago.
Success comes from Belief, and Belief is reinforced by Action. By creating small habits that continually reinforce the positive, more good things will show up in your life. Positive psychology sounds like wishful thinking, but in actuality it's reinforcing the neural networks that are associated with happiness and contentment. It's not just placebo, it's actually cultivating a framework for optimism. Looking for the positive is a more effective motivator than trying to spur yourself on with stress and the fear of negative consequences. The feelings of guilt and shame that come from these sorts of self-punishment are not a long term solution for lack of motivation.
Find the root of your beliefs, see where they're in conflict, then create small, achievable actions that reinforce winning behaviour, and keep going until you're at your vision of success.
