- Coming to terms with where my best strengths were allowed me to quit trying to force myself into a laboratory role and get back to supporting people. Do you know your true strengths, or just the ones you think you should have?
5. What professional certification do you hold?
There is no universally-recognized certification for coaches. There's a few large competing schools, but there is no legally-recognized professional designation for coaches in the way there is for doctors, lawyers, engineers and architects.
The motivation behind this question might be better served by asking: How can I be guaranteed to get what I expect from a professional coach?
I offer a money-back guarantee for all new client enrollments. We will discuss your expectations prior to signing a contract. If I don't think it's possible, I have no incentive to risk losing all that time and money. I don't work with just anyone, and do my very best to ensure you get the results you want, and also take full responsibility for situations where I fail to provide.
What is more important to you for this role: a piece of paper saying that a coach knows how to follow a particular methodology, or a relationship based upon trust, openness, accountability and a commitment to excellence?
If you have additional questions I welcome you to bring them to a conversation. I enjoy a good interrogation. Rigorous minds are committed to high standards of quality.
